Name changed to
Antelope Ridge formerly Domaine Combret
Perched high on a buff overlooking Osoyoos Lake. Where pride is taken in producing world-class ultra premium Estate grown and bottle wines.
At Domaine Combret, material of volcanic origin, deposited there by glaciers thousands of years ago, is making our TERROIR. Thrusting their roots deep in the slaty green schists, basalts, amphibolites, gabbros, granite and gneiss, our vines induce the typical and unforgettable character of this TERROIR to Domaine Combret wines : namely, beyond the variety of the grape used, our wines reflect the FLAVOR OF THE SITE.
Winemaker Oliver Combret
Philosophy:
Within my family I was taught that great winemaking begins in the vineyard and finds accomplishment at the winery. These principles are reflected in the wines I produce. I invite you to share some moments of my life's adventure and passion : birth of a Vineyard, establishment of a Winery and production of internationally recognized Wines.
You can expected a friendly greeting in their tasting room.

Perched high on a rolling hillside that cascades into Skaha Lake, this is undoubtedly one of the most majestic vineyard sites in the valley. Blasted Church is owned by Chris and Evelyn Campbell. The winery selected its name from the history of the land. the winery was build where there once stood a church. The citizens of
Okanagan Falls wanted to dismantledthe Church and bring it closer to town. The church was blasted with
dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails".
The wineries label design concept is one of the most talked about and successful adventures in the wine Industry.

Blue Mountain Vineyard is located next to a bird sanctuary and wilderness area over looking beautiful Vaseux Lake. The Mavety family produces a limited quantity of superb wines, using traditional winemaking methods. Winemaker Ian Mavety's goal is to produce wines of quality and style that compliment the emerging Northwest Cuisine.
The Mavetys were among the pioneers Okanagan having the fortune to acquire a site where they believed the geographic factors came together better than anywhere else in the valley. Named for the hazy blue mountains that frame the vineyards, the foundations for Blue Mountain were thus established in 1971. Blue Mountain is a true family operation. The winery is worked by Ian's wife Jane, daughter Christie
and son Matt.
The wine shop and tasting room is housed in a magnificent stone brick building. Tours are by appointment.
Winemaker Matt Mavety
Philosophy: wine-making begins in the vineyard. Years of gained knowledge in how to adapt to annual weather changes and produce fruit of similar character and concentration annually is how he achieves the highest level of consistency and quality in the wine.

Located on the prestigious Black Sage Road near Oliver, British Columbia, Burrowing Owl Estate Winery is one of Canada's newer wineries with a growing reputation for producing premium wines of exceptional quality. Their wines have already been amply rewarded with top honours including Canadian Wine of the Year, Best Canadian Red Wine, Best Canadian Cabernet Sauvignon, The Lieutenant Governor?s Award of Excellence and internationally, their Meritage has twice won Best of Class.
Jim & Midge Wyse selected their location based on the Canadian Grape Atlas (Ag Canada 1984), which identified this area as the best grape growing region in the country. Being nature lovers and with a vineyard surrounded by a wildlife preserve that in the past has protected the endangered burrowing owl, the naming of the winery was easy.
According to proprietor Jim Wyse, the winery at Burrowing Owl Vineyards is among the world's most modern. It was designed to use gravity flow and cool, temperature-controlled underground caves for fermentation and barrel aging.
Burrowing Owl opened a fine dining restaurant in 2003 ? The Sonora Room, which is open daily for lunch and dinner from Easter to Thanksgiving.
A current expansion project will complete the final phase of development ? a new and enlarged wine shop and a 10-room Guesthouse, scheduled to open in spring/summer of 2006.
Winemaker Steve Wyse
Philosophy: To create the finest wines in Canada, using classic techniques aided by the flow of gravity, extensive underground barrel cellars and ecologically sound viticulture practices.
White wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris
Red wines: Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Meritage

Chandra Estate Winery
|
|
Owner
Dave Dhillon chose the name Chandra as a reflection of his winemaking Philosophy and
culture. Its meaning is twofold. Chandra, derived from the Hindi language, (the ‘a' is pronounced as a short vowel ‘u') means ‘moon god'. From a spiritual perspective, ancient Hindu myth states that the moon stores Soma (an ancient drink and lunar deity), which was said to be the elixir of immortality consumed by the gods themselves. The moon is said to wane because the gods are drinking away some of its properties and, wax when the gods are not.
Situated on 10 acres of land on Oliver's historic ‘Golden Mile', family owned and operated, Ecovitis Vineyard and Chandra Estate Winery officially opened its doors on September 3, 2008 . Half of the acreage had been planted 12 years ago with Merlot, Pinot Noir, Blaufrankisch, and Chardonnay varietals, so the vineyard was in its maturity stages; however, the other 5 remained barren. Given the Okanagan's favourable terroir and climate, Chandra imported Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc varietals from France and planted the other five.
Chandra Estate Winery and Ecovitis Vineyard Ltd. is a family owned and operated winery committed to excellence an environmental sustainability.
Signature wines are
Chardonnay, Red Fusion, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir Rose, Merlot, Pinot Blanc
Winemakers: Allan Marcus & Josh Scott
Philosophy: Great wines begin with the land, which is why our vineyards are certified organic. Knowing that conventional agricultural practices have stripped the soil of vital minerals, we grow grapes the way nature intended—free from insecticides, fumigants, and herbicides.

Gehringer Brothers' dream of an estate winery was conceived in the year 1973. After high school, Walter Gehringer went to West Germany. There he acquired their fine wine-making skills. After five years he graduated from the world renowned University of Geisenheim with an engineering degree in viticulture and oceanology. His brother Gordon also spent four years in West Germany acquiring the wine master's art, graduating with a degree from Weinsberg. The present buildings were built in 1985 the same year as their first vintage.
Their labels include Dry Rock Vineyards and Optimum .
Winemakers: Walter and Gordon Gehringer:
Philosophy: In the fall the grapes are pressed and a portion of the juice is stored fresh and fermented. Before bottling in the spring,we blend the unfermented juice which has retained its rich flavor, back into the dry wine. This results in the varietal fruit flavours components being combined with the developed wine, yielding a complex full-bodied wine*

Bruno Kelle & Stella Schmidt believe they found
a diamond in the rough when the located their winery on the Golden mile south of Oliver. The couple feel in love with the wine region while touring the area in 2005. When Bruno was asked if he was interested in purchasing anything he responded by saying “Yes, your winery” The very nice lady informed him that it wasn't for sale but that another was. At that point it was just a joke but we did go out to look at the winery for sale. By the time our mini vacation was over we were excitedly discussing the possibilities and potential of being winery owners. They continued to pursue the idea and soon purchased their winery. The property
(7.4 acres) with a great slope, wonderful soil for grapes and no frost.will provide excellent grapes for producing wine.
The winery is named after the location on the Golden Mile and Canadian's national animal the beaver.
A true family winery ( their son helps) making unique wines. A comfortable patio provides a spectacular view of the Okanagan Valley.
Signature wine: their
unique Vin de Cure in both Red -Merlot and White -Vidal
Winemakers: Bruno Kelle,

Philosophy: Make spectacular wine from hand picked, hand sorted grapes.

Nk'Mip {pronounced "ñk-meep"} Cellars, North America's first aboriginal owned and operated winery, is a joint venture between the Osoyoos Indian Band and Vincor International, opened in August 2002.
NK'Mip, in the Okanagan Language means "where the Creek (Wolfe Creek) meets the Lake (Lake Osoyoos)
Nk'Mip wines include a Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Merlot. The age of the vines is reflected in the depth and complexity of these wines. The grapes were sourced from the Bands' 243 acre Inkameep Vineyard, first planted in 1968. A newly planted vineyard, surrounding the winery, includes Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The winery is the second phase of a $25 million Nk'Mip project that will see the development of the winery, an all season RV park, an executive nine hole golf course, and an accommodations and conference hall on a 1,200 acre parcel of the Band's land that adjoins the town of Osoyoos and fronts onto Osoyoos Lake. The lakeside property is as beautiful as any in the Okanagan and enjoys long, hot summers and relatively short, mild winters with minimum rainfall. Those who grew up spending summers in Osoyoos will likely remember the original campsite location, which has now been transformed.
Signature wines are Qwam Qwmt Varietals. Qwam Qwmt in the Okanagan language translates to "achieving excellance"

Groupe Taillan of Bordeaux, France, and Vincor International, based in Ontario,
Canada, formed a joint venture partnership in 1998 to develop vineyards and a small
winery dedicated to the production of Canadian VQA wines, that would meet if not
exceed the rigorous standards of their Bordeaux counterparts. Wines would be made
from the classic Bordeaux varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit
Verdot and Malbec.
The wine’s name, Osoyoos Larose, reflects the partners’ roots in France and Canada.
“Osoyoos” refers to the location of the vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, on the
mountain slopes above Lake Osoyoos. “Larose” refers to one of Groupe Taillan’s most
prestigious estates in Bordeaux, the “deuxième cru” (second growth), Château Gruaud-
Larose, which in itself reflects the centuries-old winemaking traditions of the world famous
wine region.
The Osoyoos Larose 60 acre vineyard located in the centre of Canada’s western
province, British Columbia, which the partners started to plant in 1999. Lake Osoyoos
lies within the southernmost part of the Okanagan Valley, located on the 49º latitude,
just north of the US/Canada border. The vineyards are ideally located on the western
slopes of a north-south ridge facing east. Here they enjoy intense sunlight, minimal
rainfall, and good air drainage. The proximity to the lake provides cooler temperatures in
the evening which promote better photosynthesis for the vines, and a warming effect
during the colder winter weather

Opened
this winery is the culmination of 23 years of viticulture by Lanny Martiniuk and his family.
In 1979 they bought
15-acre orchard on the Black Sage with a handshake eventually converting the entire property to vinifera. property is planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vinifera in ‘92, with Pinot Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon to be added late.
They worked as growers for years rising their family.
Their first vintage was 2007
The name comes from
a flat sledge for carrying stones; originally used to clear our home vineyard of its abundant river rocks. they named their vineyards as a tribute to the original caretakers Vineyard, who had to clear the land of its rocks in order to cultivate it. We believe that a stoneboat is representative of qualities that we value: hard work and tradition
Julie and Lanny Martiniuk have three sons. Jay is studying to be a winemaker meanwhile

Established in 1999, the winery's southwestern Santa Fe style reflects the natural landscape of the Okanagan and its semi-arid climate, where dry grasses, cacti, sagebrush and Ponderosa pines thrive. Perfectly designed for wine making, the winery's unique structure allows gravity to transport the fruit and juice from the crush pad to the cellar, eliminating the effects of pumping. Both stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels are used to create our distinctive handcrafted red and white wines.
The eight and a half-acre vineyard site includes plantings of Pinot Noir (2.5 acres), Chardonnay (one acre), Pinot Meunier (.5 acres) and Sauvignon Blanc (.5 acres) grapes, all planted in 1996. Two years later, two acres each of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer grapes were added. In the fall of 1999 viticulturist Valerie Tait joined our team as a vineyard consultant, in order to improve plant efficiency and fruit quality .

Located near Okanagan Falls founder Adolf Kruger was one of the leaders in persuading the BC Government to support farm Wineries. The Kruger's operate a true family winery of 20 acres . It all began in early 1983 when founder Adolf Kruger purchased a barren piece of land east of Okanagan Falls. Upon his return to his newly purchased property it was here that he discovered a large flock of Canada geese feeding in amongst the tumbleweeds, boulders, and rubble. As he approached flock the birds took flight. From this time on the property became known as Wild Goose Vineyards!!
